SAN FRANCISCO (September 29, 2015) – Matt Lugar, a longtime leader in the solar industry, has been named Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Sunverge Energy, a leader in intelligent energy storage systems. Lugar brings more than 20 years of energy technology and solar industry experience. He most recently served as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at energy technology firm QBotix.
As Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Sunverge, Lugar is responsible for executing the company’s aggressive growth plans and increasing market share in the rapidly growing distributed energy resource space. He also oversees the end-to-end customer experience and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Prior to his position as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at QBotix where he and his team successfully executed close to 150MW of supply contracts on three continents prior to product commercialization, Lugar served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Stellar Energy, and was a founding member and Vice President of Channel Sales and Business Development at Tioga Energy. Lugar has also held leadership positions with Sharp, Entergy Corporation, and Hutton Communications during his career.
